Basena returns Mawejje, Kizito to Cranes squad

Uganda Cranes midfielders Tony Mawejje and Godfrey ‘Baba’ Kizito are back on the Uganda Cranes squad that is due to start preparing for the World Cup qualifier against Ghana Black Stars.

The two players have been out of the Uganda Cranes since after the Africa Nations Cup in Gabon but interim coach Moses Basena named the two among 35 players due to start preparations.

Uganda Cranes who start training on Wednesday next week plays Ghana at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on October 7.

The Cranes tour Northern Uganda town of Lira on September 30th and then play Ghana at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
